About me
Nothing is Interesting if you are not Interested Understanding Matters Not Only Demanding.
From East Africa to Middle East and then To Southern Africa as A Bird Seeking Refuge for a Place to Call Home.

I’m a 33-year-old and a Mother of three Beautiful and Healthy Kids, Alhamdulillah (Gracious to God)
When I was 12, life took a new turn—I left Ethiopia and moved to Saudi Arabia to live with my mother. It was a whole new world for me, filled with different cultures, languages, and experiences. After spending three years in the Middle East, I journeyed again—this time to South Africa, where many of my extended family members were living.
It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with South Africa. The vibrant culture, the warmth of the people, and the sense of possibility drew me in. Since 2008, I’ve built a life here—I got married, completed my education, and began building my little nest.
And yet… a part of me still wonders: Is this truly the place I’m meant to call home? The journey continues….
As a mother of three, each of my children has shaped me in a unique and powerful way:
My first daughter taught me endurance — how to face what I fear and keep going.
My son taught me love — the kind that sees perfection in imperfection.
My youngest daughter reminded me to embrace it all — the joy, the pain, the past, and the present — because it all makes me who I am.
But behind Laliiti Handmade is also the untold story of a woman navigating postpartum trauma with no support system, and the isolation of starting a new life as a refugee in a place where even breathing felt foreign.
Those hardships forced me inward — to listen to a voice I had silenced for years. The voice of creativity. Of craftsmanship. Of a little girl who once dreamed of becoming an artist, a designer, a maker of beautiful things.
Laliiti Handmade isn’t just a brand. It’s a journey of healing, resilience, and rediscovered passion — born in the quiet moments of struggle and the loud silence of starting over.
And so, from the ashes of trauma and the strength of motherhood, Laliitihandmade was born — a brand rooted in authenticity, cultural beauty, and soulful artistry.
When you purchase from Laliitihandmade, you’re not just buying a product — you’re receiving a piece of something real. These creations are more than just items that add beauty to your beautiful soul. The Born of Laliiti Handmade Crafting Business!

My Crafting Journey: From Healing to Hustling.
From as far back as I can remember, I’ve always been drawn to creativity. Handmade work, beautiful designs, the magic of creating something from scratch—it all fascinated me. As a child, I’d admire any piece of art or craft I came across, wondering how those tiny beads, colors, and textures came together so beautifully.
But life got real after childbirth. I was dealing with postpartum trauma, and in the middle of that emotional storm, I found myself reaching out for something—anything—that could help me heal. That’s when I started exploring the world of crafting. Beading. Epoxy resining. Jewelry. Wall art. I tried it all, and it became my therapy.
Fast forward to 2018, I was 26 and pregnant with my first child when I finally got the opportunity to properly learn beading and resin art. At the time, it was just a hobby—something I did to feel sane, calm, and connected to myself. But something unexpected happened.
Here’s the twist!
While I was beading and crafting for fun, I stumbled upon a goldmine of information. Turns out, people were making real money—thousands!—from handmade crafts, especially beaded jewelry, epoxy wall art, home décor, and custom kitchenware. The demand was huge.
My best friend, who had always admired my work, said to me, “Girl, your stuff is unique. Your finishing is top-notch. Why not turn this into a business?” That lit a fire in me. I started researching, observing top brands, and what I saw amazed me. These crafters were making serious income. I couldn’t believe it.
I remember literally dancing around like Michael Jackson (no joke!) and saying, “Crafting world, here I come!”
But then… reality hit.
I was excited, passionate, and full of dreams—but when I actually tried to sell my products, things didn’t go as planned. The money wasn’t rolling in like I expected. I got discouraged. I started to question everything.
That’s when I had a powerful realization:
Having crafting skills is great, but it’s not enough. The brands I admired weren’t just good at making things—they were good at business. They knew their onions! Branding, marketing, customer experience—those were the real game-changers.
So, I stopped feeling sorry for myself and got to work.
I took courses—online, offline, anything I could find. I studied, researched, experimented. I learned about pricing, marketing, storytelling, branding, and positioning. Slowly but surely, things began to change. My business started growing. Orders started coming in. I began making real money doing what I love.
No, I haven’t reached all my goals yet. But I’m not where I used to be—and that alone is worth celebrating.
Crafting gave me healing. Then it gave me purpose. Now, it’s giving me income and impact.
And I wish the same for you—growth, clarity, and success in whatever you choose to pursue.
